Raheemah M. Jabbar-Bey, M.S. (Southern New Hampshire University, 1996) is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration.  Since 2004, she has been an Associate Policy Scientist and the Director of Training in Community Development at the Center for Community Research and Service.  Ms. Jabbar-Bey has been the recipiant of multiple awards and honors including the 2008 YWCA of Delaware Woman of Distinction Award, the 2000 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Best Practice Award, and she was named one of the "Thirty-five Delawareans to Watch in 1995, " by Delaware Today Magazine.  For four consecutive years Professor Jabbar-Bey was awarded support from the Annie E. Casey Foundation for both the Community-Based Development Training Program and to conduct national research on the Integration of Community Development anf Family Support.  She has served in various leadership roles in both the University and local communities.  She currently holds the positions of Vice President of the Board of Directors of NH Community Development Corporation in South Wilmington and Member of the Board of Directors of the New Directions Early Head Start (an appointment made by the Dean of the College of Human Service, Education and Public Policy).  Professor Jabbar-Bey is also a graduate of the Management and Community Development Institute at Tufts University where she earned a Professional Certificate in Management and Community Development.
